Installing Custom Fonts on Kindle

The typeface that you use plays an outsized, but often unnoticed impact when consuming information. It changes the texture of the material you are reading. It helps guide the eye through the text. If done correctly, can make certain parts of the text stand out, increasing reading cognition. The typeface that I am using is Warbler from David Johnathan Ross.

Steps


  1. Download a typeface
  2. Connect Kindle to a computer
  3. Copy typeface files to 'Font' folder on kindle
  4. Disconnect Kindle
  5. Open a book
  6. Navigate to your text settings in the selected book
  7. Select your new font
